Integration Guide: Chrome Extension
Test AdUnblock script with the Chrome extension, before actual production integration.

Where to find your verification code

Your verification code is available in your Ad Unblock dashboard. Navigate to: Dashboard → [Your Site] → Integration → Verification

Testing is Optional

This testing step is optional and primarily valuable for larger publisher sites with complicated ad strategies. The AdUnblock script has been tested thoroughly across various environments and is safe to use. Most sites can proceed directly to implementation without preliminary testing.

Step 0: Register your site in the dashboard and make sure you have AdBlock installed in Chrome

  • Register your site in the dashboard
  • Ensure you have an ad blocker extension installed (like AdBlock or AdBlock Plus)
  • Verify it's enabled for the site you want to test
  • This is necessary to confirm AdUnblock is working correctly by showing ads despite the ad blocker

Step 1: Install the AdUnblock Devtool Chrome Extension

Install the AdUnblock Devtool Chrome extension to test your integration before deploying to production:

Step 2: Test on Your Website

The extension allows you to test the AdUnblock script directly on your website:

  • Navigate to your website
  • Click the AdUnblock Devtool extension icon in your browser toolbar
  • Enter your Verification Code: YOUR_VERIFICATION_CODE
  • Enter the Script URL: https://d16sc05it918j8.cloudfront.net
  • Click the "Apply to Current Tab" button
  • The page will automatically reload with the AdUnblock script injected

Note: Your verification code is domain-specific, so you can only test the integration on your own website. The extension is meant for testing purposes only before implementing a permanent integration.

Step 3: Verify Integration

After the page reloads with the AdUnblock script injected, verify these two important points:

  • Your website should function normally without any issues
  • Ads should be visible on your page even with an ad blocker installed

If your ads are displaying correctly and your site works as expected, the integration is successful. You can then proceed with implementing a permanent solution using one of the integration guides for your platform.

Your Verification Code

Your unique verification code YOUR_VERIFICATION_CODE has been shown as a placeholder in the code examples above. The code attribute is required for Ad Unblock to verify your integration.

Available Script Sources

We provide multiple CDN endpoints to enhance reliability. If the primary script source is blocked by an ad blocker, you can use one of our alternative sources. View our status page to see all available endpoints and their current status:

Important Notice

As a site owner, you are responsible for ensuring your integration uses the latest valid CDN endpoints. Ad blockers regularly update their rules, which may block our endpoints. We recommend:

  • Regularly check the System Status page for updated endpoint information
  • For production environments, implement server-side fetching from our API with proper caching
  • Use the API endpoint https://config.adunblocker.com/valid_script_sources.json to programmatically retrieve the latest valid scripts
  • Never implement client-side fallbacks that fetch from our API directly
